Who We AreEsko is a market leader providing software & hardware solutions for the packaging industry, including print workflow and packaging design software such as Automation engine, Artpro, Equinox and Artioscad.We design and manufacture Cyrel Digital Imagers (CDIs) which are used to produce digital flexo printing plates for flexo printing presses.We also design and manufacture Crystal exposure devices (XPS) which are used to produce highly consistent digital flexo plates.Our solutions also extend to Print inspection (AVT), color measurement, press control, proofing and verification.What We ValueWe value people who are passionate about providing first class solutions and services to the packaging industry.We strive for continuous improvement in our products, solutions and our people to meet the high expectations of our customers and remain the market leader.Our ideal Field Service Engineer will:- Have proven experience working with high value production devices and be able to handle the pressure that goes hand in hand with 24/7 production environments.- Have experience working with similar imaging/exposure/print inspection devices and be familiar with printing processes.- Perform Maintenance, Service and Installation visits at customer sites, mainly in Spain, but potentially in Europe as well.- Perform trainings to customers in their premises and in our Vision Center in Gent (Belgium).In your role at Esko, you will:- Be responsible for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting/repair of AVT Hardware.- Instruct the customer about the day-to-day use and maintenance of their Esko hardware and front end/user interface software.- Install and configure front end/user interface software.- Work in close collaboration with the regional Service manager, Sales, global support, hardware support and customer support teams to quickly resolve any issues on site.- Submit detailed service visit reports and facilitate spare part requests/returns.- Demonstrate excellent logical fault finding skills.- Be confident installing/configuring front end software and computer operating systems.- Have a good understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings.- Be detail/process driven and highly prepared.- Be service-oriented, a team player who seeks feedback to continuously improve performance.- Be fearless, independent, confident and willing to immerse themselves in unfamiliar situations.- Go above and beyond to deliver excellent levels of customer satisfaction.- Exhibit excellent reactivity, dynamism, tenacity, autonomy and motivational skills.- Enjoy traveling in the country or in Europe.Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:- An electrical/electronic engineering qualification or a college diploma.- Experience as a field service engineer.- Experience in troubleshooting and responding to customers' concerns.- A good level of mechanical exposure/experience.- Proficiency in computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.- The ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment.- Strong time management skills.- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.- The ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.- The ability to work productively in a pressured environment.- Experience and exposure working with similar imaging/exposure devices.- Good language skills; local language and English; other European languages are a plus.Offer:We grow talent; we give you the opportunity to develop your career based on your strengths.
