About the role
The ESG Reporting Specialist will act as a key contributor to ensure the company compliance with the Spanish, EU and UK ESG regulations and legislations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to participate in the evolution of the company's transition from a Global Organisation to a more localised and specific Company. It requires an experienced candidate in the field, to work independently with various partners and lead through influence at all levels and functions.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyse existing ESG policies, perform and highlight gaps and prioritize actions to close the identified gaps.
- Develop, implement, promote, and supervise ESG project plans to guarantee the requirements of Spanish, EU and UK ESG regulations and legislations.
- Ensuring transparency, compliance, and positive social impact across our European entities.
- Deploy ESG education and training programs to diverse audience.
- Drive communications regarding ESG reporting initiatives and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to reach the regulatory sustainability reporting obligations.
- Contribute to the assessment of sustainability topics in terms of financial materiality (double materiality) and business risk.
- Be the single point of contact for all questions related to ESG.
- Support in the creation and maintenance of ESG policies, procedures, instructions, directives, templates, and other published guidance.
- Guide stakeholders in gathering and reporting specific data in their business areas.
- Establish and manage effective internal relationships within Finance, Legal and ESG teams.
- Drive continuous improvement actions and mindset within the ESG organization and other functions.
- Identifying requirements for automated controls and compliance measures
- Provide strategic thought leadership.
- Provide regulatory guidance to functional stakeholders.
- Publish sustainability reporting according to the new requirements of CSRD.
- Manage ESG and Quality Supplier qualification, evaluation and communication.
- Design of different calculation models including for Scope 3 data.
- Review, manage and adapt climate transition plans (or reduction plan).
Who you are
- 5+ years progressive experience in reporting and familiarity with EU regulations in the ESG space.
- Fluent English and Spanish written/spoken.
- CSDR reporting including EU taxonomy
- EFRAG and TCFD reporting requirements knowledge.
- Scope 3 calculation experience.
- Experience in multi-project mode in a global corporate entity.
- Strong ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data.
- Experience in change management and continuous quality improvement
- High ability to work on own initiative, maintaining clear and effective communication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with ability to quickly understand and effectively address emerging trends and stakeholder needs.
- Confirmed ability to encourage, collaborate, and handle internal relationships and cultivate partnerships across functions, including experience influencing without formal authority to accomplish company objectives.
- Passion to understand today's key global sustainability issues and landscape.
- Sound ability to anticipate and influence.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
