Account Manager (based Madrid, Spain) The Account Manager will be part of our growing EMEA Account Management team and will form a strong partnership with Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Support & Product, ensuring our customers have a delightful experience.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships within our Enterprise Customers, adding value in every customer touch point.
You'll bring a growth mindset to your account planning and strategising and work with your wider account teams to execute renewals and uncover upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
What You'll Do In partnership with your aligned Account Executive and Node, you'll be responsible for growing Fastly revenue across your book of business. You will drive your renewals to a successful close and generate interest and opportunities across Fastly's product portfolio. You'll manage your activities, notes and health data through Gainsight, utilize Salesforce for forecasting and be armed with customer data and insights through tooling such as Looker. You'll monitor relationships and account health, identify Executive sponsorship opportunities and will bring customers together when needed for workshops, roundtables or speaking engagements. You will actively engage with customers both remotely and in person to understand their business and discover their requirements bringing in Subject Matter Experts as situations dictate. You will be responsible for highlighting new initiatives, products and services to customers through Monthly or Quarterly Business Reviews. Collaborate with product, marketing and sales teams to provide feedback for ongoing customer support. Work Hours This position will require you to be available during core business hours.
What We're Looking For Basic Qualifications A proven track record in a role focusing on customer relationship development and revenue growth. A sense of curiosity to understand customer goals coupled with an ability to understand and align technical concepts with business values. Strong project management skills, high detail orientation and exceptional organisational skills. Thrives in a multitasking environment, with an ability to adjust priorities. Independent, self-disciplined and possess strong verbal and written communications skills. An engaging and well planned presenter. Strong customer service values with a professional and friendly demeanour. Reputation for integrity and dedicated work ethic with desire for ownership of process success. Experience of working with Salesforce for Account Management and forecasting. You have a solid grasp on Internet technologies and terminology ideally including serverless or security. Experience of working across multiple projects, products and customers at one time. Confident negotiator and experience of working with internal and customer based procurement, legal and contracting teams including deal desk. A confident communicator who enjoys business travel and meeting customers face to face. Business level spoken and written English. Demonstrate an understanding of complex technologies and how to translate them into business value. Strong team player. Preferred Qualifications Background in SAAS, PAAS, Cloud, CDN or Security sales and account management. Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.
Salary Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
This role is eligible to participate in Fastly's global sales compensation plan and may participate in Fastly's equity program.
