About The Role
About this opportunity As a member of our Building Surveying & Environment team, the area where the work will be performed will be Environmental Due Diligence (EDD), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Due Diligence and Sustainability Consultancy mainly associated with the construction and real estate industry.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: On-site auditing of properties for environmental liabilities and environmental risks in close collaboration with the Technical Due Diligence (TDD) team.Support to environmental, social and governance risk analysis based on ESG principles (Due Diligence).Assessments of decarbonisation strategies, carbon footprints and biodiversity strategies.Assessment of climate change risks and natural risks reports.Preparation of EDD/ESG DD reports. Reporting is commonly in English.Review and compile available environmental information, inventories, review of environmental and sustainability legislation (European, national and regional) and establishing contacts with environmental authorities if necessary.Remaining in the remit of the role and when additional responsibilities need to be carried out, conduct this in a fully informed manner with the approval of your line manager.As a Gleeds team member, you will have access to: Opportunities to develop and grow your career.Flexible working arrangements.About You
Who we're looking for: Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills 1-2 years of working experience within an environmental/sustainability consultancy.Knowledge in the interpretation of national or international environmental legislation.Knowledge in carbon/hydric footprint, climate change and biodiversity strategies.Knowledge in sustainable building certifications (BREEAM; LEED, WELL, etc.) is desirable.Knowledge of contaminated land issues is desirable.Ability to handle and interpret large amounts of information and confidential information.Experience with teamwork and ability to integrate with teams from other disciplines (engineers & architects).Availability to travel within the Peninsula.Creativity, willingness to take on new challenges.Fluency in Spanish and English both.Qualifications Degree in Environmental Sciences, Forestry or similar.Master's degree in sustainability related discipline is a plus.About Us
