This is just the beginning.ABOUT THE ROLEAs an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will:Safety Management: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant environmental health and safety regulations, standards, and company policies. Lead Kempower's Safety Committee.Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate mitigation measures to protect employees, customers, and the environment.Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including procedures for accidents, spills, and other incidents.Incident Investigation: Investigate safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels, ensuring they are knowledgeable about safety policies, procedures, and equipment.Compliance: In partnership with Global Compliance, Sustainability, and Occupational Health and Safety leads, monitor and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, including permitting, reporting, and waste management.Sustainability: Promote sustainable practices within the organization, such as energy efficiency and waste reduction to meet global sustainability initiatives.Data Management: Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training to support compliance and reporting requirements.WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science or other related technical degree, or equivalent work experience.3 years of EHS experience in an industrial production environment.Robust knowledge of industry standards and processes.Proficient in MS Office Suite.Additional Skills (preferred):Experience in a Start Up Environment.Implementation of EHS systems in manufacturing.Experience with ISO 14001.Experience with ISO 45001.OSHA 30 Trained.
