.Reporting to the EHS manager, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to the operations teams and support departments through close collaborative relationships that develop and empower the people in these teams to effectively address environmental risks in the production facilities and the plant in general, while improving production performance and capturing opportunities for better business contribution.In this role, you will also manage and develop appropriate control systems for the plant's environmental management, such as the ISO 14001 that we already have implemented.What You Will DoDevelop knowledge, use and advance our Principled Based Management culture.Provide transformational leadership, direction, and influence to achieve the EHS vision, partnering with plant leadership to develop short and long-term objectives, Environmental programs and strategies with a focus on environmental critical risks and the plant operational bets and projects.Build relationships with the operational teams to develop Environmental capability at the plant, through coaching on key risk mental models, and application of our risk Philosophy.Develop the systems and knowledge around critical environmental risks including the identification, assessment and the development of controls for prevention and mitigation to ensure compliance with operating permits and EH&S regulations, taking into account current and emerging topics.Being responsible for the internal ISO14001 management system. This includes organizing and managing internal and external Environmental audits.Foster an environment of collaboration and active participation with all employees, where employees understand and exercise their decision rights and raise ideas and improvements around EH&S.Ensure we learn from Near Misses and incidents and develop effective corrective and preventive action plans.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Environmental experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, Safety, Environmental, or related field.Experience leading and developing initiatives and programs. Working with and through others as one team on the field with a shared goal.Ability to coach and influence others.English.
