RESPONSIBILITIES Extend our agile DevOps team in "Enterprise Search".
Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to understand their business requirements and align technical solutions with their goals.
Consult and technically design data-driven solutions leveraging latest technologies for search and AI.
Design and maintain data pipelines for data collection, processing and indexation.
Design and support implementation of scalable and robust architectures considering data sources, retrieval and LLMs.
Drive for sustainable solutions based on standards by using code control, using automated testing, performing re-occurring updates of associated libraries and frameworks.
Design and develop AI-driven search applications based on BASF's standard search technology Sinequa.
Monitor and continuously improve existing search applications.
QUALIFICATIONS Master's / bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Several years of practical project experience in complex agile data science projects along the entire project cycle.
Excellent written and verbal English language skills (business fluent / expert).
Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to foster a positive and energized culture Excellent judgement.
Able to weigh several and often conflicting constraints and make rapid, logical decisions in a fast-moving company.
A growth mindset with a curiosity to learn and improve.
Minimum 5+ years' experience in working as a Data AI Analyst.
Programming algorithms and statistical models with Python and/or R and universal programming language (e.g.
C#, Java, C++).
DevOps/MLOps principles and tools.
AI Frameworks (e.g.
PyTorch, Tensorflow) Big data scenarios and cloud services Database technologies, preferably Oracle, otherwise MS SQL, or mySQL.
Backlog code management tools like Azure DevOps, Git, etc.
Knowledge of application lifecycle, change/release management process.
Knowledge of agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
NICE TO HAVE Knowledge in AI license models Knowledge in search engine technologies (preferably Sinequa, otherwise Elastic Search, Apache Solr, Apache Lucene, etc.)
Knowledge in enterprise content management systems (e.g.
Documentum, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams).
Ability to work in a multicultural team spread across the globe.
