Enterprise Search Backend Developer (m/f/d)Extend our agile DevOps team in "Enterprise Search".Translate functional requirements into technical specifications.Design and develop search applications based on BASF's standard search technology Sinequa.Extend existing search applications by indexing content from various source systems e.g. databases, DMS, CMS, WCMS, file shares, or cloud-based sources.Develop data integration routines to connect source systems to the search platform using modern methods and techniques.Development of REST API layers and endpoints to integrate into other IT solutions and services.Support the management and operation of BASF's central search platform and the according repositories and pipelines.Drive for sustainable solutions based on standards by using code control, using automated testing, performing re-occurring updates of associated libraries and frameworks.Monitor and continuously improve existing search applications.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required.Excellent written and verbal English language skills (business fluent / expert).

Excellent judgement. Able to weigh several and often conflicting constraints and make rapid, logical decisions in a fast-moving company.

Minimum 3+ years' experience in working with modern backend technologies.
REST, web services, JSON / XML data structures.
Development using C# and .NET framework 8.
REST API layers and endpoints to integrate into other IT solutions and services.
Backend development in complex enterprise application scenarios with a modern, layered architecture.
Database technologies, preferably Oracle, otherwise MS SQL, or mySQL.
Knowledge of application lifecycle, change/release management process.
Knowledge of agile methodologies like Scrum.
