Here at La Casita de Inglés, we believe that learning should be fun! We teach English to children through games, arts & crafts, singing and dancing, theatre, yoga and baking! Almost all of the planning is provided for you, with teachers only having to tailor some of the ideas provided to them related to the topic of the week (outer space, sports, science, food, mindfulness, music, nature, etc.) to their specific groups. We don't carry out exams or require teachers to fill out reports. Classes are small and interactive, with a maximum of 8 children per class in our after-school program (although this number can occasionally reach a maximum of 10 if students need to make up on any given week).TasksOur after-school program runs from Mondays to Fridays, 17:30-19:30 (15€/hour after tax) and 11:00-13:00 on Saturdays (20€/hour after tax). It is not necessary to work every day, although we prefer you work with us for a minimum of 2-3 permanent shifts per week. There is also the option to work in our many camps and workshops that run throughout the year, as well as great opportunity for growth within the company: managerial roles, using hobbies or talents you may have to organise workshops, or even joining us at our central office.Mondays from 17:30-19:30 (15€/hour NET)Wednesdays from 17:30-19:30 (15€/hour NET)Thursdays from 17:30-19:30 (15€/hour NET)The hiring process includes a brief interview and two trial classes.RequirementsWhat we're looking for: Fun, creative and enthusiastic teachers who love working with kids!You must also have at least six months' experience teaching or working with children in a professional capacity (not just babysitting or nannying, for example), as well as a perfect NATIVE English accent/C2 English certificate, or accent from any English speaking country.*Note: You MUST have CURRENT, non-expired legal working status (student visa is also valid) to work in Spain with La Casita.We are also always hiring substitute teachers. As a substitute, you can work in any of our Madrid locations, with a 4 shift monthly minimum.
