We offer a range of products including FX risk management, trade finance, currency accounts, international payments and API integration.Engineering Team Lead - FintechEbury Madrid Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from homeThis is a new role within the Ebury Technology Department focusing on leading a team focused on Client Evolution development. Working side by side with the product and the technology team, you will lead a cross-functional team in identifying and prioritizing key areas of a partner's business where AI solutions can drive significant business benefit. You will drive efficiencies and best practices as Ebury grows and matures over the coming years.Responsibilities:Understand company and client challenges and how integrating AI capabilities can help lead to solutionsManaging product prioritiesRepresent the team in different forumsWork closely with Product to have clear implementation plans for product roadmapsFoster technical decision-making on the team, but make final decisions when necessaryDraft and review quarterly Engineering KPIs for your teamDefine and implement best practices for monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting of infrastructure and applications.Design and implement automation tools and processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.Participate in the design and implementation of new systems and services to ensure they meet our reliability and scalability requirementsManage the team's performance, develop career paths, and provide coaching and mentoring to team membersGive regular and clear feedback around an individual's performanceKeep up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and practicesSetting clear team goalsDelegating tasks and set deadlines for your internal teamExperience and qualifications:Knowledge of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and best-practice patternsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience in managing teamsIn-depth knowledge of performance metricsOrganizational and time-management skillsStrong knowledge of Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, and databasesProven experience in designing and implementing highly available and scalable applicationsHands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform)Strong communication and collaboration skillsSince you will work side by side with colleagues from different countries, you will be able to communicate clearly and concisely your ideas in English both written and spoken
