Description Who are we? We are ARATECH, a consulting technology consulting firm, born 10 years ago to provide efficient solutions to our clients. Within our business lines, we help our partners to find the best talent for their work teams.
Who are we looking for? We are looking for our first Engineering Manager! Someone who will work closely with the founders, technology leaders, product owners, and the engineering team with our partner. We're looking for someone who will help shape the structure of our partner's teams, build better products, have more fun while doing it, and make sure we're always delivering the most value and making the biggest possible impact for our customers.
What do they offer? Competitive salary.Startup environment with a growth mindset, limitless opportunities to grow with us as we scale.Real autonomy, you're the expert - you tell us how it should be done.Real impact, not just in the way we operate but on the lives of our team members.Remote first setup with a globally distributed team.30 days holiday + additional time off for personal celebrations/milestones.1000€ Yearly Personal Development Budget.Requirements: What Will You Be Doing? Your time with us will be varied and you'll be exposed to a lot of the business, working with different stakeholders to understand our requirements and help us build better products, or looking at better ways of doing things. You'll work closely with a growing team of engineers across different disciplines, providing leadership, mentoring, and coaching and helping everyone level up. You'll help us create better technical documentation, improve the ways in which we learn and share resources with each other & ultimately be responsible for the delivery of your team.
Which are the necessary qualifications? A solid background in Engineering, ideally from being an engineer yourself! (bonus points if you used the same tech stack as us!)Impressive people skills, being able to coach, mentor, manage, and ultimately lead your team to greater success.A wider understanding of Engineering related disciplines and workflows (e.g., Product, Testing, Automation, etc.).Desired profile: For context - we have a growing team of Engineers who need proper people management (PD, L&D, 1-2-1s, Appraisals & performance management) but also helping to define some of the work and tasks between Product & Engineering, before it reaches the engineers. Ideally, this person will have been an Engineer in the not too recent past, with huge bonus points for working with our stack. Whilst we don't really expect this person to be coding - we do want them to understand our environment and the work being done at a code level, so it's unlikely we'd hire anyone without this experience or knowledge. I also want to stress that this position isn't a tech or team lead and that experience in those roles isn't relevant for what we want/need from the EM position.
We are looking forward to meeting you!
