It's because of this that we are committed to providing equal opportunities to talent from all backgrounds.Your work-life opportunity:As an Engineering Manager in the Payouts team, you will lead and support a team or group of teams part of the Fintech Cluster in our Engineering organization, focused on building a scalable, consistent, resilient, and future-proof Financial Platform and Fintech products that empower Glovo to become an international player.
Within the Payouts team, you will get to work on keeping track of the financial movements for our partners, making the platform the source of truth for how Glovo handles partner Payouts and the associated balance movements.
The team's goal is to build a robust platform that offers partners additional flexibility by providing the option to get paid out instantly, with a strong emphasis on platform consistency and quality, enabling future product development on top of it.You will work mostly with backend-based solutions making sure that our systems are highly available, secure and work well in different countries.
There could be frontend aspects of the platform that will be developed in close collaboration with other teams in Fintech or Engineering, pertaining to the experience of our partners with the Payouts flow.
As an Engineering Manager, you will also be the support backbone of your team, creating the space for them to learn and grow and ensuring they are motivated and high performing.Be a part of a team where you will:Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference as a leader in Engineering.Lead a team of 5-8 engineers and be responsible for the growth and happiness of the team members.Be accountable for all things in your team including delivery of projects, quality of the implemented solutions, hiring and the performance of your team.Provide bottom-line ownership for your systems and software.Work closely with the Product Manager of your team to prioritize the right things and ensure Engineering needs are also being worked on.Make sure your team is building things the right way and always keeping quality at the forefront of what you do.Be the contact point for your team and ensure you shield your team from distractions while still keeping them informed of the priorities.Lead by example and motivate your team while bringing in new ideas on how to improve their way of working.You have:Demonstrable experience managing agile engineering teams with proven ability to grow your team(s), hire, track its velocity and other productivity metrics and making sure the team is motivated.Proven ability to define and measure clear metrics and gather the necessary data to back up decisions or business cases.Previous experience in working with Product counterparts (Product Manager, Owner etc.)
and a spectrum of diverse stakeholders (Finance, Data, UX etc.
