What Engineering Manager does at Busuu As an Engineering Manager for Learning Experience - Core LX team, you will be responsible for supporting collaborative team culture and supporting the growth of each individual team member. Your role will be focused on:
Creating and Personal Development Plans for your team members Leading the team and ensuring they have all the necessary resources and tools for their role Collaborating with other Engineering Leaders in the business on hiring, retention and strategic growth Alongside leading the team, you will be closely working cross-functionally with other teams in Busuu, where you will be:
Working closely with Product Manager of the squad and the wider teams Building roadmaps for sprints and coming quarters by implementing a consistent method of continuous improvement Gathering requirements from the wider business and transforming them into actionable plans for your squad and collaboration with other teams What are we looking for in an Engineering Manager at Busuu Experience in managing engineering teams Experience with SOLID, Design Patterns, TDD Experience in Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, Lean Experience in Product Management methodologies, creating and managing roadmaps, and prioritising the work for a team Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to work outside your comfort zone, take a problem and solve it with as much or as little support as you need Not ticking all the boxes is not a reason to not apply, you will get the opportunity to grow within the needed areas.
