Wood is currently looking for an Engineering Manager/Coordinator with proven experience in a major engineering contractor within the Oil & Gas Industry. Based in Madrid Office.
To lead project team on multi-disciplinary and multi-office FEED, EPC and PMC Projects, for local and international clients across the refining, chemical, oil and gas, renewable and LNG sectors.
Wood is looking for an experienced engineer, with a broad range of Project skills who is ready to step up and lead project team of engineers and designers. The right candidate will be highly motivated, able to work independently, have demonstrable sound technical knowledge.
Responsible for engineering and drafting activities of the project, ensuring compliance with project schedule, quality and budget.
Leads project engineering and design team to achieve project goals and provide technical leadership and guidance to project team.
Prepares the coordination procedure and assists/prepares the project execution plan (PEP) in collaboration with the Project Manager.
Reviews approved project schedule and ensures that the detailed programs include all the engineering and design activities of the project.
Coordinates and participates in project meetings with client, vendors and/or licensors, such as project review meetings, design/coordination meetings, safety workshops, technical meetings, etc.
Acts as Wood's technical representative with the client.
Coordinates with Procurement, Planning and Construction Home Office.
Supports Project Managers and Project Control in organizing, performing, tracking and reporting project activities.
Supports project Quality Assurance by learning internal control processes, tracking compliance and supporting project team members.
Assists/prepares the monthly Progress Report.
Relevant Engineering Degree.
At least 15 years of professional experience and proven record ranging of 5 years or more as Engineer Manager/Coordinator or of relevant experience performing equivalent duties, preferably with an EPC Contractor, in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical or LNG.
Teamwork capabilities, flexibility, problem-solving attitude, orientation to results, relational skills, and specific technical knowledge.
Conversant with international codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, etc).
3D Model knowledge, including knowledge in SmartPlant Review and Navisworks.
Site Experience.
Excellent command of Spanish and English languages.
Availability for assignments abroad.
Available immediately.
Valid European Work Permit.
