Flight Itinerary (About The Role) There are plenty of manager types out there, but what we're looking for is an Engineering Manager who combines leadership with technical expertise—a player/manager capable of not only guiding and mentoring ourengineering teams but also getting hands-on when needed. A developer, the ideal candidate understands engineers on a deeper level and can speak their language fluently, whether in a code review or a team meeting.

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities) Act as a player/manager, guiding engineering teams while still committing code when needed Representing assigned teams in various meetings with a full understanding of their projects, workloads, weaknesses and strengths Taking great interest in individual engineers through their everyday struggles and spending time improving their respective skills or making space for their personal growth Understanding and controlling the technical discussions with the ability to ask the correct questions to find the root causes of problems and unblocking stuck engineers Being ultimately responsible for the quality of the delivered features by devising procedures and tools to ensure their correctness at every step of the development Ensuring that the communication for both projects and processes is concise and reaches all the relevant people when it has to Maintaining an environment of collective responsibility through well-oiled processes and ceremonies that systematically aim to reduce the probability and severity of errors Foreseeing possible future problems long before they take place and actively working on reducing or eliminating their impact Actively questioning the status quo, generating ideas, building consensus and aligning with stakeholders to do things better What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications) Reputation of a frequent dueller, ferocious, but caring pack leader Diagnosed "Healthy paranoia" when it comes to quality Demonstrated allergy to unnecessary complexity Self-identified, masked vigilante of overall order and structure Chef skills with many good recipes for preparing a roadmap Ability to effortlessly explain complex technical issues to a dog High level of Spanish and English Optional Carry-On (Preferred Qualifications) Proven track record of management of complex projects Experience with working in environments that never stop serving users Existing experience of both hiring and firing personnel Well-developed soft skills and a heightened level of curiosity First-Class Amenities Flexible working hours?
