The Engineering and Maintenance Lead ensures that all equipment, infrastructure and building are fully operational and meet regulatory, GMP and HSE requirements through efficient, effective and innovative maintenance, project management, engineering services and solutions for the Site and manage the implementation of the maintenance, automation, calibration, and qualification plans.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for reliability of site assets in full compliance with law, cGMP and HSE regulation.
Developing cost efficient, top class maintenance strategies for safe, quality focused and reliable operations at site by understanding business needs and direction.
Continuously improving / analyzing skills matrix of his/her organization, developing individuals for best in class team.
Collaborate with other functions / teams and global organization in relevant topics, enable and execute site or global strategies.
Provide technical and strategic evaluation of proposed investments together with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in process engineering and automation, and other functional personnel including finance and strategy.
Ensuring sharing and leverage of best practices and expertise in his area of responsibility in the site and with Global Engineering.
Responsible for the development and execution of the site asset care strategy and proper asset life cycle management.
Lead and support other Engineering initiatives as requested by Platform Head on an adhoc basis.

Minimum requirements: What you'll bring to the role: Education: Degree in Engineering (Dipl. Ing / M.Sc / B. Sc) or equivalent.
Leadership experience in a fast moving operational environment.
Financial understanding in a large scale manufacturing operation.
Excellent communication skills, ability to effectively present complex ideas and solutions to executive management, technical experts and regional/local teams.
In-depth technical knowledge in chemical and/or pharmaceutical processes and equipment.
Wide interdisciplinary knowledge.
Extended HSE and GxP/QA knowledge.
Fluency in Spanish and English, other languages are an asset.
