Ethicon, Inc., is recruiting for a Wound Closure & Healing (WC&H) or Biosurgery Global Technical Operations Engineering Co-Op, located in Raritan, NJ. Ethicon, Inc. is a member of Johnson & Johnson MedTech. At Ethicon, we support products across the WC&H and Biosurgery platforms, as well as across the Endo-Mechanical, Energy, and Robotics businesses. The Ethicon Product Management team is searching for engineering co-ops to join the WC&H and Biosurgery platforms!
As an engineering co-op, you will be assigned to support activities related to New Product Development (NPD) and/or Lifecycle Management (LCM), including:
Process development & qualification
Equipment design/development/qualification
Product design changes
Significant manufacturing process changes
Test method development
External manufacturing process changes
Overall project and portfolio management

Key Responsibilities:
Write and execute process development protocols and reports
Organize and submit process development samples for testing
Collect, analyze, and report process data
Collaborate with external suppliers to support key projects
Lead small technical projects and process changes
Support local community through the Credo-inspired events and activities
Qualifications
Education: Enrolled in an accredited college/university. Preferred majors are: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, and Polymer Science and Engineering.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Must have transportation to and from work daily
Completion of at least a first year of undergraduate academic program
Must be able to balance multiple projects and maintain organization
Must have the ability to work individually as well as on a team
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel
A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is required
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US
Preferred:
Demonstrated leadership is preferred
Proficiency in the following is preferred: Minitab, Tableau
Participation in campus/community service activities
Payrates:
Technical Degrees: The anticipated base pay for this position is Sophomore $/hr, Junior $/hr, Senior $/hr, Master's degree $33/hr. Business Degrees: The anticipated base pay for this position is Sophomore $/hr, Junior $/hr, Senior $/hr, Master's degree $/hr.
