Job Description: Engineer in the Technical Department of Europe and New Markets Essential Duties and Responsibilities As a member of the Technical Department of Cintra's Europe and New Markets Department, the successful candidate will work covering areas related to the design, construction, operation and maintenance of infrastructures, especially highways, reporting to the Operation and Maintenance Manager.

The main tasks will be the following:

Participation in the technical analysis of tender projects, covering the following tasks: Basic review of infrastructure design, as well as basic assessment of work costs and schedules. Definition of the resources for operation and maintenance, as well as their economic estimation. Definition of the strategies and assessment of the infrastructure replacement plan. Analysis of risks and the impact of construction solutions on the operation. Follow-up of work with external technical advisors in bidding (request for bids, contracting, follow-up, etc.). Collaborate with other areas (legal, financial, management, traffic, sustainability) analyzing and synthesizing the technical aspects of the project. Collaborate with the Manager in the preparation of associated technical documentation (summary tables, reports, presentations). Technical assistance to concessions in Europe and New Markets: Advise concessionaire companies on technical matters related to highway design, construction and maintenance and operation. Continuous monitoring of concessions in the operation phase, compiling Cintra's previous experience in all its concessions. Analysis of practices among all Cintra concessions in operation. Support in the elaboration of projects for the improvement of maintenance operations. Support in the follow-up of projects in the construction phase. Elaboration of future operation and maintenance costs, as well as comparison and analysis between the expected and budgeted costs. Collaborate with the Manager and other departments (concessionaires, financial) in the preparation of documentation associated with the above tasks. For all the activities described above, it will be necessary to prepare spreadsheets, reports and presentations, tasks to be performed by the candidate.

Requirements Degree in Civil Engineering, not discarding other engineering degrees if they provide relevant professional experience. Experience of 3 years in the international area of transport infrastructure concessions desirable (projects, consulting, bidding, construction or operation of concessions). Experience in engineering or construction of infrastructure highways is desirable. Knowledge of Project Finance is desirable. Advanced knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Knowledge of Power BI is desirable. Proactive attitude, teamwork and communication skills are essential. High level of spoken and written English (minimum C1 or equivalent). Other languages are desirable. Availability to travel and/or change of residence.
