Learn more at powerfactors.com . ABOUT THE ROLE We are Power Factors, developer of the world's leading cloud platform for renewable energy. We are now looking for an Implementation Engineer to complete our dynamic team. As a part of the Implementation Services team, your mission is to deliver a premium end-to-end integration experience to our customers. We are responsible for installing new renewable assets, such as wind or solar sites, onto our Platforms. We also take care of the operational environment for the installation process and data ingestion infrastructure. As an Engineer, Implementation, you will face a variety of tasks related to the integration and implementation of renewable energy assets and their data into the Platforms. Typical implementation-activities involve interacting with our lovely customers to gather all information needed, setting up connectivity between the renewable energy site's SCADA system and configuring the assets and their data signals in our Platform, and validating the configuration. You will work with TCP/IP, SQL, FTP, HTTP, SSH, and various other digital communication protocols. Furthermore, we are constantly striving to improve our infrastructure, processes, and data quality of renewable energy assets. You will be part of operations & improvement projects that we run in parallel to the implementation work. It goes without saying that in this role you'll get to know the renewable energy industry and are able to develop your skills further through internal and external learning events. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Work with our customers and Technical Project Managers to process and interpret project information and documentation Set up connectivity between the customer's assets and our infrastructure (e.g. via IPSEC tunnels) Configure renewable assets and their data signals in our Platform Cooperate with internal stakeholders and customers to deliver an excellent customer journey in terms of fulfilling expectations on schedules and deliverables Contribute your feedback and ideas on our processes and way of working, so that we continuously improve as a team WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL We are looking for a team member who is systematic and autonomous - but who also enjoys being a part of a tight-knit team. You feel comfortable assisting customers in understanding technical integration and networking details and thrive in an environment where you need to find creative solutions to challenging problems in a fast-changing context. This also means that you are effective at managing multiple tasks of varying complexities and are driven by continuous learning and growth. Specifically, we are looking for someone with the following toolbox: SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Relevant technical education or proven professional experience Fully fluent in English – written and spoken Experience in networking, routing, and common network protocols Experience with Linux and Windows network stack and protocols Experience with SQL databases Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) Knowledge of REGEX, working with different file types, e.g. JSON, XML, Excel, CSV Analytical skills with the ability to assess problems and learn new domains Basic knowledge on energy/electrical engineering concepts (e.g. knowing the difference between AC/DC, line-line and line-ground voltages, or real/apparent/reactive power) We see it as an extra plus if you have experience with the following: Industry protocols: OPC, Modbus, Ejabberd, IEC104, RestAPI's, etc. Experience with SCADA systems Ability to read networking and electrical diagrams Cloud services, particularly AWS Experience and/or interest in renewable energy Overall, we need fierce but humble people to help us achieve our ambitious plan.
