Engagement Manager - Private Equity And Principal Investors

Who You'll Work WithYou'll work in our Madrid, Spain office as part of our Private Equity (PE) team.The Private Equity team is the world's leading adviser to the Private Equity and Principal Investing industry.
You will work with investors of all types - PE firms, distressed debt/credit investors, hedge funds, real estate and infrastructure firms as well as the institutional investors these alternative investment managers serve including pensions, sovereign wealth funds, family offices and endowments.You will be part of a team that is deeply integrated in the global firm, serving investors in all geographies including developed, developing and "frontier" markets.What You'll DoYou will build relationships with investor clients and further develop McKinsey's approach to serving investors in Spain and Europe.In this role, you will manage small and large teams on projects for investors and will coach and develop junior colleagues from the PE practice.
You will be an integral part of the Private Equity (PE) practice leadership team and will set up the strategy for our growth.
You will collaborate with colleagues to drive new initiatives (e.G., client roundtables and roadshows) to help increase our impact with portfolio companies.
You will also develop and institutionalize firm knowledge along the entire investment cycle, with a focus on the European and Spanish PE industries.Additionally, you will work with other McKinsey practices in Spain in an attempt to build deep relationships, understand the firm culture and gain important skills that can be applied for PE clients.When you join McKinsey, you are joining a firm whose culture is distinctive and inclusive.
We will accelerate your development as a leader to create positive, enduring change in the world.Qualifications7+ years of experience as an investment professional in a top-tier private equity firm or a consultant in the private equity division of a management consultancy; strong consulting skills and experienceDeep experience of private equity firm investment, divestment and portfolio management activitiesDeep, investor-focused knowledge of an industryUnderstanding and network of contacts in the large cap and mid-market private equity industryExcellent problem solving skillsAbility to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simplyDemonstrates creativity and the ability to deliver exceptional results and great ideas#J-18808-Ljbffr
