We are looking for an Energy Lead to join our team to help us launch and scale one of our most exciting new bets: creating an energy supplier to become the one-stop-shop for green energy for all Samara customers.
In line with our values, at Samara we firmly believe that the climate crisis is the main challenge our generation is facing. Household energy consumption, in particular, is one of the main sources of carbon emissions in developed countries. We are optimistic by nature and think it is possible to do things differently: we want to electrify homes and transform the energy model to make it greener, smarter, and more efficient. What Are You Going to Do? We want to bring an entrepreneurial and driven individual to the team who is able to build from scratch and run an exciting energy supply offering that helps make energy cheaper and greener for Samara customers. The main parts of the mission that we foresee for this role are:
Obtain the regulatory approvals required to supply electricity to Samara customers.
Set up the software required to conduct key energy operations, like switching or billing.
Lead internally and in combination with external parties the demand forecasting and energy wholesale operations processes.
Own the regulatory reporting requirements with the different regulators, including tax obligations.
Manage all customer processes that happen when someone switches their energy to Samara and their billing, and offer customer support to the initial customers.
Build and maintain a pricing model and strategy to accelerate the adoption of flexibility hardware solutions by Samara customers.
Act as a leader beyond the Energy team, contributing to the evolution of our general product offering.
Build a strong culture within Samara as a respected leader.
Be ready to take on any mission and get involved in the running of the business.
