Roles and Responsibilities
Should have good communication skills in English to interact directly with the customer and proper email etiquette.
Should have strong knowledge of Application packaging using Admi Studio tool, with language skills like VBScript and PowerShell.
Should have strong knowledge in APPV 5, with basics of APPV 4.6 being an added advantage.
Should have strong SCCM knowledge.
Should have strong troubleshooting skills for issues arising at end users' side for MSI, APPV, and SCCM deployment.
Should be able to think outside the box for various scenarios when one methodology is not working for a particular issue.
Should understand the end-to-end process of EUC Certification and have the insights to read beyond the planning notes to understand the actual requirements of an app packaging request.
Should understand the history of an application in terms of how it was packaged and its earlier requirements to make informed decisions on current packaging requests.
Should be able to decode the glitches in planning notes and lab tech team's findings of an application and steer the packaging in the right direction by coordinating with the planner/lab team or customer if needed.
Should be willing to contribute to SIP periodically by providing automations for various activities related to the end-to-end process.
Should have basic knowledge of VMWare vSphere, or must be a quick learner of activities that may be beyond app packaging.
Job Description for Application Planner:
Should have good communication skills in English to interact directly with the customer and proper email etiquette.
Should have basic knowledge of Application packaging, APPV 5, and SCCM.
Must be a quick learner to observe, learn, and react to customer's queries/escalations appropriately.
Should be thorough with the end-to-end process of EUC Certification.
Should possess an understanding of the entire lifecycle of an app and its history.
Should be responsible for conducting one-on-one sessions with customers, gathering their requirements for packaging, and guiding them on any queries related to the process to ensure the app project reaches its conclusive end.
Should possess strong knowledge in documentation and Microsoft Excel.
Should possess ownership qualities to take an app towards SEED/PROD deployment and follow up with the packagers/Customer whenever required.
