Summary: You will serve as an EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) Program (Code 106), Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center (FDRMC) detachment, Rota in Rota, Spain.
Responsibilities: Conduct on-site surveys to identify environmental regulation violations and recommend corrective actions.Analyze and evaluate security regulations, procedures, methods, practices, or techniques to develop options, recommendations, or decisions.Evaluate the safety of system designs to ensure that the design eliminates or mitigates safety hazards.Manage, direct, coordinate, and implement the Command Emergency Management Program.Assist the fire safety officers in training the ship through arrival conferences, ship emergency response team training, and fire safety watch training.Requirements: Conditions of Employment: This position is Non-Critical Sensitive, and therefore requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination as a condition of employment.Incumbent may be required to travel up to 25% within/outside CONUS and on ships underway as well as to/from detachment commands in Rota and Bahrain for internal inspections and oversight.Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Overseeing a Command Emergency Response Program and management to evaluate the organization's ability to deal with emergency situations effectively.Utilizing knowledge of Emergency Management policy and procedures to implement and review emergency plans.Providing guidance, instruction, support, and training to emergency management personnel.Coordinating resources for emergency programs and recovery operations.NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position.
