Job Description
We are looking for Emergency Doctors to join our projects in Mali and Kosovo. If you have energy and passion and are looking for an exciting career overseas working as part of a multi-disciplined team, this could be the job for you.
The successful candidate will hold a university degree in Medicine with a minimum of five years post-qualification experience and a specialist qualification and/or formal education program in Emergency Medicine. You must be registered to practice with the relevant professional body in your home country.
Role Summary:
The Emergency Doctor is responsible for initiating resuscitation and stabilisation of patients as well as commencing investigations and interventions to diagnose and treat illnesses, whilst working as a multi-disciplined team.
Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out immediate evaluation and management of emergency patients that are brought in for treatmentLiaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of careEnsure that all medical records are properly kept and maintainedProvision of clinical reporting into Iqarus Chief Medical OfficerSupport clinical mentoring for staff developmentEnsure best practice in line with clinical guidelines and SOPsSupport the clinical excellence framework under direction from the Chief Medical OfficerProvide liaison with external agencies where required to promote chain of care continuity and professional referral/patient handover Qualifications: University Degree in Medicine with a minimum of 5 Years post qualification experienceA specialist qualification and/or formal education program in Emergency Medicine. Key Skills: Excellent communication skillsExcellent IT skills including use of electronic medical records systemsFluency in English Essential Capabilities: Ability to work calmly and effectively under high-stress work conditionsAbility to work within a multi-disciplined team, with clinical and non-clinical personnel Additional Information:
Rotations are typically 6 weeks on duty and 6 weeks off duty, but dependent on project site. Flights, food and accommodation are provided whilst on duty at the project site.
