The Tyvek and Typar (T&T) enterprise in Safety line of business aspires to be the leading provider of breathable high-performance materials for worker protection, patient safety and creativity.
We provide durable garments and accessories for chemical protection, durable microbial barrier materials for sterile environments, non-tear, lightweight sheet products for graphics, signage, and packaging, and filtration membranes and weatherproof barriers.
DuPont has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a European Tyvek Application Development Consultant in the Tyvek Roll Goods line of business, primarily for Healthcare Packaging.
This position reports to the Global Technology Leader, Tyvek Roll Goods and will work closely with external customers to support current applications as well as grow our growth opportunity pipeline.
In addition, this role will also be a highly valued partner internally, and work in multifunctional, regional and global teams comprising process, manufacturing, quality, product management, marketing, sales and regulatory and standards.
This position will be located at our Luxembourg Manufacturing site and R&D center, potentially candidate can work remotely from a EU-member state country.
Key Responsibilities include: Grow our innovation pipeline for Tyvek Roll Goods applications by: Working hand in hand with marketing and sales to collect market-back insights. Understanding customer needs and translating into innovative product solutions, meeting application performance and cost in-use requirements, and collaborating with R&D to develop new products to meet current and future needs. Driving technically longer-term growth projects in Tyvek Roll Goods applications in a disciplined manner. Continuously monitoring market, technical and customer trends. Be highly visible in the industry through participation in industry consortia and drive strategic advocacy activities. Continuously develop expertise in end-use applications, to best support our customers. Serve as the subject matter expert for internal and external customers stakeholders. Develop in-depth understanding of the competitive technology environment. Qualifications At least a Master's degree in chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, materials science, or a comparable field. Must possess competency in packaging science, nonwovens, films, coatings, printing and adhesives. 10+ years experience in nonwoven industry, ideally in healthcare industry or filtration industry. Familiarity with the technical and regulatory requirements of evaluating and commercializing materials in healthcare packaging. Competency in European sustainability regulations is a positive. Competencies Intellectual curiosity and an ability to rapidly absorb and understand technical concepts and apply them in creative ways. Innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial initiative. Track records in successfully leading projects. Results Oriented, ability to influence key stakeholders (external and internal). Rigor: makes decisions driven by analytics and market insight. Self-starter with a pragmatic, hands-on approach. Strong interpersonal skills and cultural quotient- proven ability to work in diverse, cross-functional team environment.
