Role Purpose: The role holder is holistically responsible for all aspects of Chubb Marketing facing platform organisation across EMEA. This includes the direct leadership of a team of Business Analysts, Project Managers, distribution experts and Development teams, and includes indirect oversight of operational groups, branch segment teams and marketing.
As a key member of the leadership team, the role holder will oversee the end to end solution from Product Development, through to Sales, Renewals and Portfolio Management.
The role holder will focus on driving significant profitable growth, constant improvement, operational excellence and policy retention.
Key Responsibilities 1. Platform Management Develop and implement a clear platform strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Lead the platform development and maintenance, ensuring high-quality execution and timely delivery. Oversee the platform testing and quality assurance processes to ensure a seamless user experience. Monitor platform performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies. Plan and execute projects according to established methodologies. Develop project and/or release plans and coordinate resources to ensure that the project is successfully completed within defined constraints. Oversee the system defect position, communicate updates to DD and Product, ensure IT understands priority and what needs fixing, and look for alternative solutions if needed. Collaboration & People Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize platform features based on user needs and market trends. Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow. Work directly with the Operations Leads to develop and deliver the best operational model to enhance efficiency in the process end-to-end. Manage and develop a team of platform developers and analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. Define product growth priorities based on underwriting results and work closely with the regional leader to prepare plans and P&L. Be the product owner for all key Ignite projects collaborating with:

Develop a thorough understanding of the business model, operational processes, and key performance indicators. Governance: Execute the required control framework obligations for the platform ensuring that the Underwriting, Operations and Financial governance is clear and adhered to. Deliver the following artifacts as needed: functional requirements, business requirements, process flow diagrams, user stories, use cases, screen and interface designs, and system workflow designs. Own the annual SME IT budget ensuring sufficient funds are available for the pace and scale of required change. Work closely with SME business leadership to perform ROI analysis and prioritize IT initiatives. Write business requirements, using natural language, suited for agile software development practices. Use data at every step and relentlessly prioritize for the highest value. Product Development & Innovation Seek opportunities to improve our overall value proposition through innovation, artificial intelligence, and analytics. Determine product roadmap: align objectives with vision, prioritize target markets and countries, create product and solution roadmap in coordination with Lines of Business and countries. Design and Develop products: In coordination with lines of business, actuarial and online development team (product owner) agree on product propositions (wordings, underwriting path, rating plans…) in line with the overall strategy. Build requirements with Product Owner and regularly follow timelines and progress on delivery. Support Industry Practices unit in their product development effort when their product fits with the SME sizing. Evaluate product and business performance: recommend activity to drive improvements in product, measure business performance and make appropriate recommendations. Actively elicit requirements using interviews, process documentation, brainstorming sessions, surveys, scenarios, and workflow analysis. Distribution Lead the execution of the regional Market Facing Platform (MFP) distribution strategy. Through collaboration with Country SME leaders, Broker Management and other identified stakeholders develop a strategy specific to MFP distribution. Generate revenue and meet set financial targets through new business activities. Contribute to the growth of the existing Chubb relationships, in alignment with required pipeline goals and sales objectives for the Commercial Lines. Be accountable for the implementation of strategic initiatives designed to increase engagement and productivity with brokers. This may include identifying new business opportunities and creating promotional initiatives. Maintain and develop a thorough understanding of the broker market and industry trends, using this information to inform business development strategies and to identify growth opportunities. Experience, Skills and Competencies Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, or a related field. Additional certifications or designations (e.g., ACII) are highly desirable. Proven experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on small commercial insurance, including underwriting, operations, and business development. Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to drive teams towards achieving goals and objectives. Expert knowledge of small commercial insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and industry practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a strategic mindset. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit to identify areas of growth and drive innovative solutions. Proven track record of delivering IT projects on budget, to timelines and to quality through either direct or indirect ownership of the IT Delivery function.
