Job Description:
Broadcom offers a position in Europe for an experienced IBM Mainframe Specialist. We are looking for candidates with expertise (SME) in the following domains:
IBM Mainframe expert in Db2 for z/OS and tools used to manage various aspects of Db2 for z/OS such as performance and database administration.
Knowledge of, or willingness to learn other Broadcom data management products such as IDMS and Datacom.
Knowledge of Open Mainframe Project ZOWE and utilization of modern integration technologies using REST API is a definite plus.
Candidates must have excellent command of English, both spoken and written. In addition to English, candidates are preferred to speak one other major European language and have the expected Education Degree (Bachelor diploma at least).
This position must be seen by Broadcom customers as bringing tangible value in terms of experience, knowledge, and expertise, achieved through a combination of broad real-world experience and IT industry-specific certifications.

Customer Focus Responsibilities
Assist the Broadcom sales team in technically qualifying solutions, specifically Broadcom MAINFRAME Solutions.
Work closely with the account team and the customer or partner to obtain a deep understanding of the customer's technology needs.
Build relationships across customer's or partner's IT silos and offerings.
Understand and act as a valued resource early in the customer's decision-making process.
Execute complex product integration demonstrations and proofs of concept.
Maintain a deep technical knowledge of the products developed by the business unit.
Provide technical specifications and requirements documentation as necessary to support the proposed solution.
Effectively position and present the benefits of Broadcom's solutions.
Provide technical leadership during Trials, Proof-of-Concept (POCs), and complex demos.
Ensure technical requirements are clearly communicated to the client.
Effectively communicate Broadcom's key competitive differentiators.
Foster and build relationships with customers and partners.
Strive to constantly improve the quality of all customer interactions.
Financial Target Responsibilities
Directly assist account teams in achieving financial targets.
Assist sales in accurately assessing and forecasting opportunities.
Evaluate options to execute opportunities cost-effectively.
Ensure long-term stability of book-of-business.
Broadcom's Internal Business Processes Responsibilities
Coordinate internal/external resources to effectively pursue opportunities.
Disseminate feedback to business units gained from client experiences.
Mastery of processes and tools for proposal development, solution architecture overview, and statement of work (SOW) development.
Contribute constructive feedback for improvement of processes.
Assist in the Partner Enablement process.
Understand and adhere to compliance requirements and Code of Ethics.

Business Travel and Physical Demands

Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or a related degree.
Work Experience
Typically has 10 or more years of detailed MAINFRAME technical industry-related experience. Experience resolving complex technical issues and integration of multiple products to create solutions.
Languages
Native language with English (Proficiency) or English (Native) and proficiency of Major European Languages.
The candidate must be eligible to permanently reside and work unrestricted in Spain.
