The right person will be technical and analytical: Computer Science and/or Engineering/Math bachelor degree and at least 10 years of significant customer-facing business development, sales, solution delivery, or product management experience in the Agriculture industry.
- Strong leadership skills, with proven verbal and written communications skills to work effectively across internal and external organizations and understand what it takes to grow a market and deliver long-term business objectives.
- Fundamentals of cloud computing, with ability to go deep enough on relevant technologies key to the industry.

AWS is looking for a Principal Business Development Leader capable of driving market development for Industrial opportunities leveraging the richness of the AWS cloud computing platform to address the Agriculture commercial and industrial transformation opportunities.
Your Responsibilities You will enable AWS sales teams to engage with key prospects for developing opportunities in commercial and industrial workloads.
You will work closely with AWS Solutions Architects to develop and promote cloud patterns and solutions for Agriculture customers' needs.
You will also work with AWS product and services teams to help evolve AWS offerings for more rapid adoption by customers looking to address their variety of commercial and industrial needs.
Additionally, you will work with AWS partners to drive adoption of modern Agriculture solutions running on AWS.
Key Job Responsibilities Understanding of R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commercial - Marketing & Sales (like e-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Digital User Engagement) Agriculture Experience. Lead strategic engagements with Agriculture customers. Define 'Go-to-Market' (GTM) Strategy addressing key customer needs, based on deep industry expertise and close account situation knowledge. Serve as a key member of the Agriculture Business Development team to drive overall AWS market and technical strategy for the industry and ensure alignment with key internal stakeholders (e.g.
sales teams, product teams, marketing, partner team, legal, support, etc.
). Build business development pipeline by engaging with key prospects. Identify and engage key partners including ISVs and system integrators. Understand the technical requirements of our customers and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of our product offerings for developers. Work closely with multiple stakeholders to create cross-industry opportunities. Present thought leadership to senior management teams, customers, and at events. Handle a high volume of engagements and interactions in the fast pace of the cloud computing market. Present business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to expanding our reach in the industry. Manage complex contract negotiations and liaise with the legal group. Education An MBA is desired.
