Embedded Software Engineer

Join our team and build the future of space technologyWe're expanding our team at Alén Space, and we are looking for a Space Satellite Operations Manager with a passion for what you do, talented and experienced, to lead our Mission Control Center team and help build the future of space technology. You will be part of a great team and will be involved in the evolution of on-board software and its integration in different missions and will develop firmware for the products of the company. You will directly report to the Coordinator of the Software Engineering Area. In this team, you will be involved in the research and development of different products, like the TRISKEL solution, which integrates in a single module the elements that make up the communications, command, and data handling systems:On-board Computer (OBC)Telemetry, Tracking and Command (TTC)On-board Software (OBSW)What you will be doing?Technical and user requirements definition and identification.Preparation of the required software development specifications.Analysis and design of the on-board software and firmware.Participation in the software and full system (TLYF or E2E) validation campaigns.What do we need in our team?Hands-on experience with microcontroller design flows.Eager to learn.Familiarity with embedded Linux systems.The applicant must be fluent in English.Knowledge of embedded software development tools: C/C++.Experience working with GIT repositories and Linux-based operating systems.Some experience in the utilization of instrumentation equipment (power supply, multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).Candidate qualifications and skillsWork remotely 80% of the time.Flexible start/finish times; reduced intensive working hours on Fridays and during summer Monday to Friday.Competitive compensation with ongoing reviews, flexible compensation.Wellbeing program: Health, dental, and accident insurance; free fruit and coffee, free lunch every Friday, and much more!Personalized career plan development, training, and language learning support.Very committed to inclusion and diversity; we promote equal opportunities in recruitment.If you like what you read, then we might have a match.
