ALBA is the Spanish synchrotron light source, a large research infrastructure operating ten beamlines, complementary facilities, and an Electron Microscopy Center, this last in partnership with other institutions. The section designs and provides operational support to the control and data acquisition systems hardware, both for the particle accelerator and the experimental laboratories (beamlines). In addition, it is responsible for the power supplies of both the accelerators and the beamlines.
