The DES; team is composed of more than 20 specialist engineers: electronics, software, mechanics that, in the end, build a multiskilled team able to carry on (almost) any kind of development projects.
The areas in which these projects are developed are mainly related to healthcare and in-vitro diagnosis, industrial, aerospace and test development.Name of the position:Electronic Engineer - Hardware DesignExperience/Background:3-5 Years in Telecomm engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial EngineeringResponsibilities:As an essential part of a development team, the designer will take responsibility with minimum supervision for the hardware conception, build and debug of new products and/or systems.
From architecture to component/equipment selection and system verification.
Tasks to be performed will be related to electronic circuits design and analysis: electrical diagrams, component selection, PCB Layout, simulations, measurement and trials, evaluation of different design options, reference designs, and strategies etc.
The designer will also drive the building of the needed prototypes for design verification and the development of the needed software and documental routines making use of the adequate laboratory instruments and equipment.
She/He will participate as one of the components of the development team, contributing with her/his point of view and proposing solutions and alternatives aimed to overcome the different challenges that a development project presents.Needed skills:Proven experience on electronic circuit design.
Component selection criteria and knowledge on their critical parameters.
Datasheet evaluation.
Ability to read and compose complex electrical diagrams both digital and analog.Experience on electronic circuits analysis and verification, design of experiments and acceptance test procedures.Proficiency in the use of any circuit design software (OrCad, Eagle, Altium).Proficiency on the use of any PCB layout tool.Experience in collaboration with electronic part manufacturers.Extensive knowledge on the use of regular laboratory instrumentation such as multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.Basic programming knowledge.Fluent in English, both written and oral.Used to direct interaction with customer's technical teams either internal or external.Others:Familiar with the use of do-it-yourself platforms: Arduino, Raspberry, Beaglebone.Notions of project management is an asset.Team-building attitude.Work Environment:The work atmosphere is excellent and totally open, a positive attitude constitutes a warranty for the integration in the team, not only at a professional level but also personally.
