Apart from RD, the Verisure Innovation Center handles business-critical systems and database management, quality and security assurance, software and product testing, as well as 24/7 core systems that keep our alarm services up and running.ResponsibilitiesWe are strengthening our procurement organization and are looking for a Buyer who will be sharing responsibilities around the Electronics Components Category inside the Direct Procurement team.
This is a Group level role working with Corporate Procurement as well as Project Management within the RD department across the Verisure Securitas Direct Group.
The Buyer will report to the Electronics Category Manager inside the Spanish Direct Procurement team subordinated to the Group Direct Procurement Director.Everyday tasks will include managing electronics suppliers in the passive, electromechanics, and LEDs categories, leading RD related global RFPs RFQs for strategic products to be developed and manufactured for Verisure's various global markets (gathering requirements, preparation, analysis, assessment, as well as recommendations and closing), measuring supplier performance using KPIs and supplier evaluations audits, and implementing and reporting the Electronics Category Plan.
Always respecting processes, policies, and procedures to support the Procurement Policy while being at the forefront of the category to support new developments.Main Tasks:Working in the Electronics Category plan in the Corporate Procurement DepartmentSupporting Product Design Engineers in Hardware developmentsWorking with internal and external stakeholders throughout the projectsResponsible for BOM negotiation with Electronics components Distributors and ManufacturersManaging manufacturers of current future developed products at Group levelFollowing and supporting the implementation of the Electronics Category PlanLeading initiatives to optimize and create savings opportunitiesContract Management, briefing and negotiating framework agreements with suppliersEnsuring compliance with the Procurement Policy within the Category.
This responsibility includes approval and evaluation of providers, procurement processes/tender, etc.LocationThe role will be reporting in Madrid but could be located in Madrid (Spain) or in Malmö (Sweden) and requires travel approximately 20 to 25% of the time, mainly between Madrid-Malmö as well as Eastern Europe and potentially to HQ in Geneva (Switzerland).Candidate ProfileExperience and QualificationsRequired Skills:Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration3 years experience working with Electronic components and global distributorsExcellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.Preferred Skills:Project management experiencePrevious experience from a large international companyPrevious experience supporting Product design engineers within both hardware (electronics) and softwareCompetenciesYou need to be a good communicator with the ability to adapt to different situations and persons as well as driving people and projects forward.
