We are expanding our technician teams within the EMEA regions and have openings for Electrical Installation Technician. This is a unique opportunity to work in some of the most innovative and fast-paced data centers in the world.
As Electrical Installation Technician you will be responsible for powering up new racks in order to increase AWS server and network capacity (involves work on ATS's, PDC's and Catchers). The role requires a highly driven, self-managed individual who can be trusted to plan the daily operations and travel between different locations within the city.

Key job responsibilities Setting and maintaining the highest standards for safety and actively promoting a world-class safety culture in all aspects of operational procedure.Driving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metrics.Enabling the operations organization to deliver 100% up-time on all customer supporting infrastructure.Collaborating effectively with internal & external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS customers.Following the standard operation procedures and tracking issues through appropriate entries into a Trouble Ticket system.Prioritizing appropriately in a complex, fast-paced environment.Performing the power up of all racks and rack-based systems.Power whip preparation, installation and deployment.Performing system walk-throughs to verify proper installation of racks and updating of their related Monitoring Systems. Physical requirements: Availability to move between local sites in order to cover different locations on a daily basis.Work at heights and from ladders.Perform physical tasks on a daily basis.Work in a noisy environment with ear protection.Wear personal protection equipment (PPE). BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Professional Electrical Certification (National Craft Certificate (NCC), Registered Electrical Contractor (REC), or equivalent).Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory.Highly proficient in verbal and written English. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management or similar technical focus.Willing to travel between Data center sites, and internationally if required.
