About the Role: The Electrical Inspector will inspect electrical installations and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, specifically focusing on ATEX (Atmosphères Explosibles) directives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety standards and the ability to identify potential hazards in explosive atmospheres.
Responsibilities: Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations and equipment in hazardous areas.
make sure compliance with ATEX regulations and other relevant standards.
Identify and report non-conformities, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Collaborate with engineering and safety teams to develop risk assessments and safety protocols.
maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and recommendations.
Provide guidance and training to staff on electrical safety and ATEX compliance.
Stay updated on changes to electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Participate in safety audits and inspections as required.
Qualifications: ATEX Certification is required.
Relevant degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in electrical inspection, particularly in hazardous environments.
Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, including IEC and national regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
