Job Description
Under the coordination of the Engineering Director, the job mission is to lead and oversee all electrical engineering activities within Vidrala Group. Entrusted with managing a set of internal and external skills, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems and projects. The role will involve providing technical expertise, making strategic decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient upgrade and safe operation of electrical systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvement, adhering to industry standards and regulations, and driving innovation in the field of electrical engineering.
The Challenge
In the context of energy transition, the role will be crucial in terms of energy efficiency, process electrification, and digitalization.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical utility systems for industrial plants, ensuring they meet safety, reliability, and efficiency standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide innovative electrical engineering solutions.
Develop detailed electrical plans, schematics, and specifications, considering technical feasibility and budget constraints.
Conduct thorough site assessments and inspections to identify potential electrical system upgrades and improvements.
Manage and oversee the implementation of electrical projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Co-leading the energy management process, with an end-to-end focus, contributing on the design and specification of energy infrastructure, energy-intensive assets, digitalization, and operational benchmarking.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to electrical engineering in industrial environments.
Requirements
A Bachelor degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering or a relevant technical discipline. A Master degree is highly preferred.
You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position. Previous experience in industrial electric grids and power systems is highly preferred.
Fluency in English and Spanish.
