The Role:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to electrical engineering projects related to photovoltaic assets in various stages of their lifecycle, including development, design, construction, and operation. You will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, ensuring the optimization and long-term performance of our projects.
Responsibilities: Conduct electrical design analysis for components such as energy collection systems (DC and AC), cable sizing, inverters, transformers, and other plant equipment.Perform technical reviews of electrical design documentation, including drawings, system studies by third parties, and grid connection agreements.Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, specifications and employer's requirements to a high-quality standard including application of relevant standards in different jurisdictions.Attend project sites to coordinate and witness testing and commissioning activities.Liaison with transmission and or distribution companies before and during the construction to address technical electrical aspects of grid connections.Conduct performance and loss analysis, including evaluating performance studies (PR), estimated generation, and system losses.Why Join Us? RequirementsRequirements: Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Renewable Energies).Written and oral interpersonal skills (English) to communicate with colleagues and clients.Minimum of 3 years of experience in basic and detailed electrical engineering of photovoltaic projects (utility-scale plants).Knowledge of local and international standards (IEC, NEC) related to photovoltaic installations.Familiarity with the development, construction, and operational phases of solar plants.Previous experience in owner's engineer and detailed engineering role: design of electrical systems, integration of tracking systems, circuit design, and medium and high voltage (MV/HV) design.Understanding of grid connection standards in the installation country (grid codes).Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations applicable to photovoltaic projects.Ability to assess land and climatic conditions that could affect the durability of the installation.Knowledge of specific software: AutoCAD, PVSyst, ETAP, and other simulation and modelling programmes.Ability to analyse performance studies (PR), estimated generation, and system losses.Skills: Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment and coordinate with various teams to achieve project goals.Adaptability: Capacity to navigate challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced industry.Proactive Attitude: Enthusiasm for contributing to innovative projects and identifying areas for improvement.
