As an Electrical Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and contribute to a variety of projects within a supportive team.
Location: Several locations accross regional Victoria.
Responsibilities:
Hands-on Installation and Maintenance:Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and components under the guidance of experienced electricians.Gain practical experience in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues.Blueprint Interpretation:Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to understand project specifications and requirements.Safety Compliance:Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your team.Participate in safety meetings and contribute to maintaining a culture of safety awareness.Material Handling:Learn and apply proper techniques for handling electrical materials, tools, and equipment.Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient inventory of electrical supplies.Collaboration:Collaborate with journeyman electricians, project managers, and other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.Seek guidance and ask questions to enhance your understanding of electrical systems and procedures.Documentation:Keep accurate records of work performed, including hours worked, tasks completed, and materials used.Contribute to the preparation of progress reports and documentation for project management. Successful candidate(s) will:
Currently enrolled in, or able to enrol a recognized electrical apprenticeship program, or completed a portion of their program and are looking to complete their apprenticeship.Ideally, completion of 1st-year electrical apprenticeship.Familiarity with electrical tools, equipment, and materials.Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.Strong commitment to safety practices.Have a White Card (or equivalent).Proof of Rights to Work.Drivers License and Vehicle.Ability to travel to multiple locations for work.Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn.Ability to work in a team environment and follow directions from experienced electricians.
