Purpose of Role: The Electrical and Automation Engineer is responsible for reporting to the Integrated Solutions Engineering Manager to assist Project Managers/Engineering/Commercial Engineering for the EIA project execution for mining process plants, crushing and screening projects, sand and gravel dry and wet process projects to ensure the EIA engineering deliverables are in line with contract requirements (contract, RFQ, design criteria, and related norms and standards to be considered).

Key Responsibilities:EIA Project Execution for mining process plants, crushing and screening projects, sand and gravel dry and wet process projects.Check, Release and Approve EIA engineering deliverables submitted from the EIA partners to ensure they are in line with the contract requirements.Check, Release and Approve the technical specification for bought out items to ensure it is in line with the contract requirements.Maintain Project schedule and deliver quality output on time.Support field personnel during Erection and Commissioning.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Experience with Electrical design software widely used for Mining Industry Electrical Design (ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, Electra E8, etc.).Experience with ICS (Industrial control system) like SCADA, DCS, PLC, HMI, PAS, etc.Experience in creating P&ID, control philosophy, consumer list, Instrument list as per the complete plant EIA requirement.Founded in 1871, Weir is a world-leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient, and sustainable.
