SEK El Castillo is seeking to hire a Technology and Design Secondary Teacher.MISSION: To inspire and empower students to meet the challenges of a globalised and evolving world through design and technology education. To foster a deep interest in technology in a diverse, inclusive and international educational environment, developing practical and creative skills that enable students to solve design problems and understand their impact on society. To prepare students to make informed and responsible decisions in an interconnected context, while cultivating an international mindset.FUNCTIONS:Plan, prepare, develop and deliver Technology and Design courses in accordance with school curriculum guidelines and the Middle Years Programme.Develop and present lesson plans using a variety of teaching models and techniques in the subject areas.Use relevant technology to support teaching.Collaborate with other teachers to review, develop and write new vertical and horizontal curriculum documents, assessment and reporting.Keep abreast of international developments in the field and in practice and methodology.Observe, monitor and evaluate student learning and progress.Prepare assessment tasks and tests, homework and other projects.Model classroom enquiry practice and the IB learner profile.Differentiate courses of study and lessons to meet the individual needs of diverse learners, based on their academic ability and prior achievement.Maintain accurate and complete records of students' academic progress and achievement.Communicate students' progress and assessments to tutors and/or families.Maintain good behaviour of pupils in the classroom and on school premises, in accordance with the school's disciplinary policies.Prepare the classroom environment and maintain a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment.Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities, as well as other school and institutional events.Be willing to participate in, co-operate with and possibly lead other initiatives in the school related to the development of school culture, leadership among pupils and the promotion of school values, such as projects, excursions, events and pastoral care of pupils.REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Digital Technology or similar. Ideally previous teaching experience in international contexts. Level C1 English. Ability to communicate in Spanish. Desirable experience in Managebac or similar.
