Job Description:
The candidate will join EEE Engineering and Radiation Team in Electronic Parts and Assemblies Center of Competences Spain in Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defense & Space) in Tres Cantos (Madrid area) working on the different Space business: Launchers, Earth Exploration (Copernicus), Space Exploration (Artemis), Commercial (Telecommunications Satellites).

Functionally, the Candidate is also part of the Project, with the main mission of being the main technical interface between Electronic Parts and Assemblies CoC and design area for EEE Parts, Applications and radiation engineering.
The Engineer's tasks comprise the complete development of an electronic equipment: from the proposal phase to the final delivery of the flight model once accepted.
Tasks & Accountabilities:
Global support to local design team on EEE technical, technology, application and radiation topics.
Gate new component's introduction upon internal customer request, as well as second sources upon strategy through the approved PL.
Contribute to EEE parts roadmap to prepare EEE future by collecting & harmonizing EEE needs and ensuring application.
Global Support to the definition, evaluation and validation of new EEE parts in space applications.
Maintain a high level of expertise in EEE parts with the adequate recognition of customers and space agencies, maintain a trans-national Application Engineering network.
Focal point for new parts for which the potential capability to satisfy space application requirements is ongoing and also the next generation of EEE parts on the mid-term from the component roadmap.
Coordinate all actions to evaluate and validate new parts.
Select the right component according to the needs through the PST, LPC, based on requirements by quality, plant stock and ACL process, contributing to EEE standardization/harmonization.
Provide technical expertise for EEE data on databases.
Prepare technical notes on EEE devices based on technical/technological aspects and support local design team on technical notes related to EEE parts usage on specific applications.
Support and approve EEE part detailed specifications, evaluation and qualification plans.
Support customer for all technical and technology aspects.
Support in the associated post procurement activities.
Support in the evaluation of lab services provided by external labs (e.g. as part of supply process).
Support any issue on EEE parts from technical and technology point of view leading failure analysis, participate in NRB, etc.
Propose, contribute and support R&D in advanced studies, in line and coordinated with strategy, related to EEE application, technology and space validation.
Contribute to EEE parts roadmap by collecting the needs to prepare EEE future used in application, collaborating with the manufacturer on their roadmap and new developments based on Airbus Crisa EEE future needs.
Involvement in EEE parts radiation test definition, in particular in support to EEE procurement activities.
Project support in all development phases for equipment, from bid-phase to unit delivery.
Contribute to the radiation/EEE data collection in the frame of Electronic Parts and Assembly transnational organization and supporting radiation test campaigns by drafting test plans.
Perform calculations relevant to radiation analysis (sector analysis (dose) and SEE predictions).
Establish and support a strong interaction within EPA center of competence (CoC).
Ensure conformance of all subcontracted equipment to the project's radiation requirements.
Review subcontractors' performance and documents, hold review meetings (ERCBs).
Promote and apply Airbus DS standards and processes in the radiation area, especially the RADIUM process.
Education:
Engineering or Physics MsC.
A specific focus and experience in the area of active and passive components.
Knowledge and experience within space programs as well as the EEE space standardization systems (MIL, ESCC).
Good knowledge of EEE device physics, construction, and functionality together with knowledge on failure modes related to passive, active and optoelectronics components.
Language:
English and Spanish must be negotiation level.
Certifications:
Work experience (Concept and time):
Experience in the area of active and passive components from 3 to 5 years.
Strong interfacing to electronics design community, with a technical profile mainly focused in EEE aspects from 3 to 5 years.
Soft Skills:
