This role is situated within the Digital Technology Department, operating under the Global Development Center for the DIGITAL and IT function at JTI.
Specifically, the DIGITECH department, housed within the GDC, plays a critical role in defining the scope and elucidating the digital technology and architecture strategy aligned with the business vision.
The Delivery Manager will be under the direct supervision of the Delivery & Release Team Manager.
The primary focus of this role is to empower and lead the Delivery/TPO (Technical Product Ownership) and team, overseeing the planning, agile realization, and continuous evolution of capabilities with end-to-end ownership within DIGITECH.
The role is positioned to transform DIGITECH into a fully-fledged product organization.
The Delivery Manager serves as a strategic bridge between technical expertise and project delivery, particularly in the realm of eCommerce and mobile application development.
Provides technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the entire application development lifecycle.
Ensures end-to-end ownership in the planning, delivery management, and reporting on the Technical Digital Ecosystem Roadmap within DIGITECH.
Responsibilities: Delivery & Technical ownership.
Brings in-depth technical expertise in solution development.
Understanding of the business requirements and transferring them into project deliverables.
Assessing the technical requirements when selecting new solutions (focused on mobile apps).
Ensures that DIGITECH solutions align with the latest industry standards, technological trends, and best practices.
Enhancing the competitiveness and viability of the mobile app landscape.
Understanding of business requirements and ability to propose robust technical solutions.
Advocates the principles and values of the program and of the DIGITECH WoW.
Release: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define release scope, objectives, and timelines.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive release plan, including release schedules, milestones, and dependencies.
Coordinate release activities, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
Oversee the execution of release activities, including code deployments, configuration changes, and data migrations.
Manage and resolve any release-related issues or conflicts, working closely with the development team and agency.
Implement and enforce change management processes and procedures to minimize risks and disruptions during releases.
Ensure proper documentation and communication of changes, including release notes and user guides.
Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in eCommerce platforms, Azure, and Magento.
SLAs and KPIs: Establish and monitor service levels and performance metrics to measure IT Service Catalog team effectiveness and productivity.
Provide accurate reports and metrics for management reporting.
Drive pro consumer & customer initiatives and activities through KPI & SLA setup, to reduce time to resolution, reduce number of incidents etc.
Establish methods of data collection, (align sources, record or request recording relevant data from internal or external sources).
Analyze risk, (build and update risk scenarios, estimate probability, estimate impact, define risk response strategies and measures).
Maintain risk profile (risk inventory, key resources to sustain operations, aggregate risk scenarios, define risk indicators).
Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Delivery Management leading large, cross-functional teams (15+ people).
5+ years of experience in an Engineering Leadership Role (Lead Engineer, Solution Architect, Team Lead, Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, or similar role).
Proven expertise in delivering eCommerce solutions, including experience with platforms like Magento (Adobe Commerce) or similar technologies.
Hands-on experience developing and deploying internet commercial solutions/platforms, ideally based on cloud providers, SaaS, and microservice architectures.
Comprehensive understanding of B2B/B2C applications and their system integrations.
Familiarity with end-to-end eCommerce workflows, such as product information management (PIM), order management systems (OMS), and customer relationship management (CRM).
Skilled in balancing technical and business priorities to meet eCommerce performance metrics, such as conversion rates and site speed.
Familiarity with software practices in both the BUILD and RUN phases of eCommerce platforms.
Strong knowledge of Magento (Adobe Commerce) or similar eCommerce technologies, including integrations with ERP, PIM, and CRM systems.
Solid understanding of PHP development stack, APIs, and middleware for eCommerce platforms.
Familiar with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, IaC) as they apply to eCommerce environments.
Knowledge of modern eCommerce trends, including headless commerce, PWA (Progressive Web Apps), and composable architecture.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
