Hastings School aims to provide a high-quality education within a culture of care. Founded in 1971, Hastings School was one of the first in Madrid to deliver the British National Curriculum with English as the primary language of instruction.

It is a school that is growing rapidly with a new 21st Century Sixth Form teaching block opened in September 2019 and a new Primary campus in September 2021.

As part of the Cognita Group, our staff can access considerable professional development opportunities and share best practices with colleagues in other schools.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years Teacher to join our fantastic team. This is a Maternity Cover position.

About the role
As an Early Years Teacher, you will ensure the pupils in your care achieve their potential, maintaining high-quality standards of teaching at all stages. This will involve planning, teaching, class management, monitoring, and evaluating. You will implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for children using the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, in line with the curriculum policies of the school.

Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be a university graduate with a relevant teaching degree or equivalent Early Years qualification. Some experience in the UK and the ability to speak Spanish would be useful but not essential. It is also vital to have a curiosity towards and natural tolerance of lifestyles and languages different from your own.

Benefits at Cognita
We offer a competitive salary and 100% fee remission for staff children and support with relocation, including help finding accommodation and navigating Spanish legalities.

How to Apply
Complete this application before the closing date. The Closing Date for Applications is: Sunday 8th December 2024.

Cognita Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff, volunteers, and other third parties to share this commitment. We are an equal opportunities employer committed to diversity and treating all employees with dignity and respect regardless of background.

EARLY APPLICATIONS ARE ENCOURAGED; WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO INTERVIEW AND APPOINT PRIOR TO CLOSING DATE FOR THE RIGHT APPLICANT.
