We invest heavily in our team members who enjoy industry-leading professional development, exceptional career opportunities, and mobility across our group.ROLE SUMMARY:EAL & Cover Teacher (Year 5 to 11) who would like to play an integral role in shaping the future of our school joining our team for an immediate start.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:To deliver the school's English as an additional language intervention scheme from Year 5 to 11.To plan and deliver the Pearson iGCSE: English as a Second Language to selected students in Key Stage 4.To work collaboratively with the Head of Admissions to identify students who are eligible for the EAL intervention scheme, preparing a timetable that ensures all students receive the support that they need throughout the academic year.To be an active member of the English department, supporting with EAL resources to enable differentiation and supporting the Secondary Head of English in the day to day running of the department.To work collaboratively with the EAL teacher on Salvia site and ensure the smooth transition of EAL pupils from Year 4 to Year 5.To cover planned and unexpected teacher absences in the school, as directed by the cover manager.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:The ability to work as part of an education group.Understanding of high quality teaching.Ability to build effective working relationships.Recent evidence of relevant CPD.Understanding of the use of assessment to inform planning and improve student performance.Ability to engage, enthuse and motivate students.Ability to organise, plan and prioritise effectively; managing responsibilities as a classroom teacher.Data analysis skills, and the ability to link attainment data to strengths and weaknesses in curriculum, pedagogy and teaching.IT proficiency including all Microsoft and Google office tools
