ROLE SUMMARY: At the forefront of British education internationally, King's College School La Moraleja is seeking to appoint an inspiring, collaborative and forward-thinking professional to the position of 'Teacher of English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Cover', on a fixed term basis, for pupils on our Paseo de Alcobendas site aged between 9 and 16.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To deliver the school's English as an additional language intervention scheme from Year 5 to 11. To contribute to the planning, resources and curriculum for the school's English as an additional language programme. To work collaboratively with the Head of Admissions to identify students who are eligible for the EAL intervention scheme, preparing a timetable that ensures all students receive the support that they need throughout the academic year. To be an active member of the English department, supporting with EAL resources to enable differentiation and supporting the Secondary Head of English in the day to day running of the department. To work collaboratively with the EAL teacher on Salvia site and ensure the smooth transition of EAL pupils from Year 4 to Year 5. To cover planned and unexpected teacher absences in the school, as directed by the cover manager.
