Our client, who specializes in Engineering, Commissioning, and Technical Services throughout Europe on large-scale Construction Projects, has an immediate need for an Electrical and Instrument Commissioning Technician. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HVAC equipment and a proven track record in commissioning complex electrical installation packages. This is a vast project, and our client requires several Cx E&I Technicians (Mid and Senior Level Leads) to work on this project.
Working for the Cx Agent on-site has its advantages, including regulated hours and exposure to all aspects of the project from inception to completion. The start date for this project is at the earliest convenience, with the duration of work expected to be a minimum of 18 months. You must have the right to work in the EU and/or the right to work in Sweden.
Electrical Commissioning Technician Responsibilities:Assist the Commissioning Coordinators in executing systems tasks and activities, and development and reporting.Execution of commissioning procedures for assigned electrical systems.Assist and report back to the Electrical Commissioning Engineer.Interact with Engineering and Operations teams for input and draw from experience and knowledge when executing procedures.Acceptance of Mechanically Complete Subsystem packages from Construction.Punch List management and responsibility for offered Subsystems/Systems.Prepare job cards for Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning activities.Work with project HSE leadership to develop appropriate Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) for the electrical commissioning team's activities.Ensure work is carried out in a safe and controlled manner in accordance with site procedures and PTW system.Read, interpret, and work from vendor documentation, project drawings, schematic diagrams, and equipment manuals.Help Commissioning Engineers identify personnel and equipment resources necessary to perform electrical commissioning activities for assigned systems.Requisition parts and supplies and maintain spare parts inventory.Support Coordinator in management of electrical vendor during the commissioning phase for the assigned systems.Liaise with CMS Custodian ensuring integrity of database, amendments, Punch Lists, and documentation, reports progress/status.Maintain records and prepare regular and special reports on electrical and electronic systems.Analyse work problems and make corrections that will facilitate the completion of assignments.Read, understand, and follow Permit to Work procedures.Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.Coordinate activities with other departments and staff.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with direct supervision and other departments.Other duties may be assigned or requested.Requirements:Hands-on inspection, testing, and commissioning of control and instrumentation equipment.Must have previous experience commissioning instrumentation on HVAC systems.Strong general technical/engineering trade skills, knowledge of good engineering practices for E&I, knowledge of standard tools and test equipment.Interpretation of engineering documents including datasheets, P&IDs, cable block diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Loop and termination diagrams, Functional logic, and I/O lists.Familiar with the concept of Commissioning Systems and the representation of the same using Limits of System Handover Documents (LOSH).Flexible on work locations and willingness to work outside discipline when required.Ability to interface with multi-discipline company and contractor engineering personnel, fabrication, installation, hook up, and commissioning teams.Cultural awareness and the ability to work with individuals from different nationalities.Benefits:You must be flexible on rotational breaks.The Hourly/Daily Rate and package are negotiable depending on your previous experience.Accommodation cost covered.Access to a Company Car.Flights paid.If you feel you fit the criteria, please get in touch immediately, and we'll contact you as soon as possible to discuss the role.
