Minimum Requirements: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering10+ years of experience within the Solar industryExperience of leading a small team is requiredSAP and MS Office knowledge is essentialProven excellent customer service, written and oral communication skillsGood commercial/contractual experience in negotiating Solar contracts including sound knowledge of contract law regarding procurement of products and servicesDemonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of Solar PV purchasing fundamentalsExperience in solicitation of bids, contract negotiation, contract formation, and executionEffectively able to participate in or lead teams and collaborate cross-functionallyAbility to assess and establish priorities for self and others, demonstrate flexibility, and communicate a sense of urgencySelf-motivated, with excellent problem-solving abilities and proven decision-making skillsResponsibilities: Purchase end-to-end Solar PV direct and indirect materials from global suppliersEstablish and maintain networks and working partnerships with key vendorsMaintain the integrity of purchasing data and perform at a high level with error-free transactionsBe involved in all procurement activities within the business to ensure efficient management of the procurement service and business targetsCoordinate with all value chain stakeholders and suppliers to deliver high-quality procurement needs, including a high degree of technical experience with design requirements and technical specificationsInitiate effective cost improvements and savings programs for purchased componentsEvaluate supplier performance using the company supplier rating models and participate in continuous improvement effortsDevelop and maintain information to keep abreast of sources, prices, and technical innovations on a worldwide basisActively lead all supplier contract negotiations and contract executionInteract with business unit and cost center personnel to affect the timely release of all technical and project-related requirements, needs, and changesComplete purchasing work aligned with Company Global Purchasing PolicyAdhere to accounting rules and procedures with respect to purchasing in terms of pricing, process, and paymentsManage vendor delivery performanceProactively prevent and manage supplier defects with each vendor
