Ring is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge streaming solutions for our home security and smart home products. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing market leading streaming capabilities across our full stack, with a particular emphasis on firmware-level optimizations. We can also hire for this role in Madrid ESP, Cambridge and London UK. Key job responsibilities Architect and develop high-performance, scalable, and reliable streaming solutions for Ring's products, from firmware to cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, firmware, and cloud engineering, to ensure seamless integration and end-to-end optimization. Identify and implement firmware-level optimizations to enhance streaming performance, reduce latency, and improve overall user experience. Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in the streaming domain. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
