Group Technology & Operations seeks a Developer for a global, business-critical Commercial Insurance application.
This role presents an excellent opportunity to work alongside – and learn from – market-facing teams across the globe to deliver value and develop a career within Commercial Insurance IT & Operations.
In this exciting role you will collaborate with other analysts, developers and stakeholders to implement and operate Dynamics CRM and MS Azure features and integrations aligned with Zurich Group's strategy.
The platform utilizes prevailing Microsoft Dynamics cloud-based technology and the solution delivery is based on Agile principles with regular production deployments.
The application team is based in Zurich, London and Spain, but relies on a strong partnership with global and local business teams to put our customers first.
Your roleAs an Azure Developer professional, your main responsibilities will involve:
SW prototyping and construction – Design, Build, and Modify existing business-tier components, Web applications, and database objects using Microsoft platform technologies (ASP.NET Web API) and Azure.Daily interacting with the Scrum project team (Cloud Architect, Scrum master, Cloud governance team).Involved in some aspects of business requirements definition including gathering and change management.Engaged in the solution architecture design discussions and ensures solution meets business requirements.Implementation of global requirements and governance topics (Corporate Design, Guidelines, Policies).Maintain a high level of understanding of Microsoft Azure products.Perform quality reviews and sense-checks on requirements and design.Work in Agile methodology (Scrum/Sprint cycles) using e.g.
Azure DevOps Boards. Your Skills and ExperienceAs an Azure developer your skills and qualifications will include:
Good experience with the .Net framework (different versions) and other technologies such as C# is an advantage.Experience with Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Web Apps, Service Bus, Web API).Knowledge with SQL Server (basic DML and queries).Good understanding and experience following test-driven development and continuous integration practices (CI/CD).Active student status with Spanish University/School is mandatory.University student interested in developing a career in the tech field.Tech-savvy approach.An enthusiastic, capable, curious person craving to learn.A good team player with a responsible and can-do attitude.Able to use English for communication with colleagues and managers from abroad on a daily basis.
