The Role of Lobby Ambassador:
We currently have a Lobby Ambassador opportunity to join the team! The Lobby Ambassador creates a strong sense of arrival for hotel, restaurant and banquet guests in the lobby area.
Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, and working closely with the Concierge, Guest Experience, Guest Services and Front Office teams, our Lobby Ambassador will ensure a memorable first and last impression of the Hotel is of the highest quality.
Essential Functions:
- Greets guests who arrive to the lobby and welcomes them to the hotel. Assists guests descending from cars, taxis, uber vehicles.
- Greets all guests passing through Front Door and offers them assistance; gives verbal greeting to guests arriving on foot.
- Opens hotel doors for all guests.
- Directs hotel guests to the Front Desk for check-in, when required, and introduces the front desk agent.
- Provides guests with directions, recommendations, and information about the city and its attractions. Hails taxis as needed.
- Assists customers with all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, etc.
- Is aware of all events and happenings, meetings etc. held in the hotel's meeting spaces as well as full knowledge of photoshoots, interviews, etc. held in rooms.
- Directs guests to the Concierge for enquiries, when required, and introduces the concierge agent.
- Directs guests to Patio team for table seating, when required, and introduces Patio staff.
- Knows the VIPs in house, VIP arrivals and VIP departures of the day.
- Oversees and monitors the transfer arrivals and departures.
- Arranges luggage handling, transportation, and other services requested by guests.
- Gathers guest preferences, contributes to creating WOW moments along with the GE team and creates bonds and connections with guests aiming name mentioning in Medallia.
- Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism including guest complaints, accommodates special requests whenever possible;
- Becomes a true expert of the hotel's daily operations, the hotel surroundings and is fully conscious of any road closures, demonstrations and major events happening in town.
- Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Keeps the main entrance and driveway neat.
- Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
- Performs any additional duties as assigned by Guest Experience Manager / Front Office manager or Director of Room.
Our Ideal Lobby Ambassador candidate will have:
We are looking for candidates who have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are required. Excellent communication skills are essential. Physical by nature this position requires standing for 8 hours per shift. The ideal candidate will also have a warm welcoming smile, a positive attitude and be knowledgeable about the local area. All applicants must possess the legal right to work in Spain and have fluency in English and Spanish.
