.Job DetailsAssociate Product Manager - Residential HeatingWhat you will do:As Associate Product Manager, you will support the Product Director to develop and execute the strategy for the rapidly growing Residential heating and cooling segment in Europe, to enable the success of the distribution sales channel. You will be the primary interface between engineering, manufacturing and sales, representing the voice of the customer (VOC) and channel in the development of solution offerings and positioning.As part of the European HVAC product team, you will work with internal resources and with external partners to use market research, competitor analysis and industry expertise to develop business cases and product technical specifications, considering market placement that delivers the intended return on investment (ROI) and market share. Together with the Europe product and distribution team, you will conduct product launches, support the distribution channel with customer events, develop marketing and technical collateral, maintain agency certifications, set target pricing, and work with suppliers to find solutions to unique challenges presented by the European market. As owner of the residential heating and cooling product portfolio, you will have immediate and long term impact on the success of Johnson Controls across Europe.How you will do it:As the Associate Product Manager you are able to think strategically to understand market trends and find opportunities. You have strong communication skills and a positive, customer-oriented attitude combined with sound financial and business judgement. Supported by the Product Director, you will engage sales teams and partners to find opportunities for growth. You will drive profitable growth by setting pricing levels and achieving margin targets. You will be the voice of the product segment to the Sales channel and be the expert responsible for opportunities related to your products.What we look for:Bachelor's degree required in business, marketing, engineering or equivalent experience. MBA or other graduate-level degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.6 years' experience in sales, marketing, engineering, operations; no product/service/offering management experience required.Demonstrated ability to deliver results.Demonstrated attention to detail, a commitment to quality and being results driven and customer focused.Demonstrated ability to write well, edit effectively and present complex issues and projects succinctly, logically, and persuasively.Basic understanding of the budgeting process, key financial indicators (ie ROI, IRR, NPV). Ability to follow established guidelines and processes (ie Capital Requests).Basic understanding of the various types of business models (subscription, product or service delivery, distribution, etc).Ability to gather and analyze economic, financial, market and industry information
